This is my first Seiko watch. My dad had one in the 70s and 80s. I purchased the "Seiko 5" self winding watch because I was tired of my quartz watches loosing their waterproofing as soon as I had the battery changed. The Seiko 5 does a great job in keeping time and it looks great. The vendor delivered on-time. I have no complaints on either product or the online sales and delivery. -- Love this Seiko 5 watch!

I like the idea of this watch because even though it looses almost 2 minutes a week I wear it all the time & it never stops. Mechanical watches are known to loose or gain much more time than quartz watches but somehow these work-hoarses fascinate me. A great every day watch if exact accuracy is not a factor! So far so good on this watch in over 2 months that I've had it! -- runs slow but nice work-hoarse watch

I bought several Seiko's and other watches and I am very impressed with this one. Once I took it out of the box I realized it really is beautiful, it looks way better in person. My other watches are several times more expensive but even all of them together don't get the same amount of compliments as this one gets (which is sort of strange). For the price (I got it for almost [...] bucks) it is unbeatable; It would be nice if the steel was more scratch resistant as well as the crystal but let's face it, I haven't found other watch as reliable and pretty at this price.

It has been 2 years since I bought it, I used almost on a daily basis and it has several scratches in the bracelet (and one minor in the crystal). I wish Seiko made a more expensive version of this watch (with a sapphire crystal and higher quality steel) and I'll buy it immediately. I read a paper made by an horologist (some who loves watches)and he says the movement is so resistant it may last 10-15 years without maintenance, which I guess it's true since Seiko's are well know for their reliability.

Accuracy wise It is no perfect, it 2 mins faster each 15 days but that understandable for an automatic (By the way, the movement looks pretty nice in the backcase, it doesn't look $$$, but it's fancy and classy in it's own way). It was one of my first watches and probably my favorite. -- Very nice watch!!!
