I bought this watch (a little different face) for Christmas 1999. I have never had a problem with it. I do not take it off. So, it goes in the shower with me and any place else. I am hard on watches. The Crystal is scratch resistant and still has no scratches that are noticable. The band takes the brunt of my abuse. It has a lot of scratches but again hardly noticable. I put the watch in the sunlight the first day I received it and it has never stopped since. Oh, it also keeps very accurate time. -- Seven Years without a Problem
